Hong Kong tourists embark on immersive Guizhou journey

A group of 450 Hong Kong tourists, organized by Guizhou Tourism Group and Travel Expert and accompanied by TVB host Janis Chan, arrived at Guiyangbei Railway Station on April 3, embarking on a five-day colorful journey through Guizhou province.

Their trip marked the first high-speed rail tour from Hong Kong to Guizhou following the 20th Guizhou Tourism Development Conference. Upon stepping off the train, the visitors were greeted by Guizhou's comfortable climate and the warm hospitality of its residents. Tourism ambassadors, dressed in exquisite ethnic costumes, performed songs and dances and held traditional welcoming ceremonies to receive the guests, showcasing Guizhou's unique charm.

The carefully designed itinerary offered a one-stop experience in Colorful Guizhou City, with specialty coffee, craft beer, fine dining, and cultural creative products.

The guests were also immersed in the 600-year-old Tunpu culture and the beautiful spring scenery of the Huazhao Festival at Yunfeng Tunpu Scenic Area in Anshun city. Other stops included Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge, the Baili Azalea Scenic Area, and Meitan county where they engaged in warm, heartwarming interactions with local children.

Chan remarked that Guizhou's landscapes and diverse ethnic cultures are impressive, and expressed hope that more Hong Kong residents would come and fall in love with the province.

This Hong Kong high-speed rail tour is not only a vivid demonstration of Guizhou's growing tourism appeal but also an important step in deepening cultural and tourism exchanges between the two regions.

Guizhou will continue to roll out preferential policies and special travel routes, enhance connectivity with source markets, and accelerate the development of high-quality tourism destinations.
