Guizhou AI Application Promotion Center opens in Guiyang

The inauguration ceremony of the Guizhou Artificial Intelligence (AI) Application Promotion Center took place in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, alongside the Guizhou AI Supply-Demand Matchmaking Meeting on March 24.

The Guizhou AI Application Promotion Center handles six major tasks: identifying and cultivating application scenarios, promoting exemplary cases, bridging supply and demand, exploring implementation pathways, fostering an innovation-driven industrial ecosystem, and carrying out standards implementation and effectiveness evaluation.

Seven scenario-opening entities, including State Power Investment Corporation, Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group, China Energy Investment Corporation Co, and Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Group Co – together with eight technology service providers such as Guizhou Big Data Industry Group, Guizhou AI Laboratory, Huawei Cloud, and Alibaba Cloud, jointly signed a letter of intent to join the Guizhou AI Application Promotion Alliance. The collaboration will focus on scenario development and technical services to collectively unlock the application value of AI.

Additionally, eight organizations signed project cooperation agreements to collaborate in areas such as think tank partnerships, technology research and development, scenario implementation, and industrial coordination.

The official launch of the center and the establishment of the alliance are expected to build an efficient bridge between AI supply and demand in Guizhou, drive high-quality development across industries through AI, and provide strong support for Guizhou's ambition to become a national hub for AI applications.
