The Gui'an New Area National Processing and Trade Industrial Park has made the list of the second batch of approved national processing and trade industrial parks for construction, released by the Ministry of Commerce. It was the only park selected from Guizhou province.
National processing and trade industrial parks serve as a key platform for the Ministry of Commerce to guide the transfer of processing trade to central, western, and northeastern regions, promoting China's coordinated regional development.
Compared to the first batch, the second round of recognition places greater emphasis on strengthening industrial foundations, fostering east-west collaboration, and enhancing public services.
It focuses on cultivating specialized industries, nurturing leading enterprises, attracting full-industrial-chain support, and driving integrated cluster development.
Gui'an New Area, as a national-level new area, boasts a development foundation that includes a comprehensive bonded zone and a big data industrial cluster, creating favorable conditions to undertake the transfer of the processing trade.
Utilizing its electronic information and advanced equipment manufacturing industries, Gui'an New Area will strengthen cooperation with regions such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Yangtze River Delta area.
This aims to enhance the level of processing trade development, build export-oriented industrial clusters, and drive the high-quality development of foreign trade in Guizhou province.
