Updated: 2026-03-20

Guizhou province's second China Railway Express (CR Express) launched on March 18, bringing new momentum to the development of an open inland economy for the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30).

The CR Express is loaded with 55 containers, mainly consisting of Guizhou-made products, including automobiles and automotive components, valued at over 28 million yuan ($4 million). The train will exit China via Alashankou Port and is expected to reach Minsk Oblast, Belarus, within 15 days, covering approximately 11,650 kilometers.

As a vital logistics corridor connecting Guizhou to Europe, the CR Express has effectively overcome Guizhou's geographical disadvantage of being landlocked with no access to borders or coastlines.

Compared to traditional logistics modes such as sea transport and road-rail intermodal transport, this route shortens the export cycle to Central and Eastern Europe by about 10 days. Moreover, its low-cost transportation saves Guizhou's foreign trade enterprises over 10 million yuan in logistics costs annually, thereby enhancing the global competitiveness of Guizhou-made products.

Guizhou will continue to utilize the CR Express to expand its international logistics network, optimize international trade services, and facilitate the global reach of more Guizhou products.
