The "Computing Power for an Intelligent Future" forum was held in Guiyang during the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2025, drawing over 300 experts, scholars, government officials, and industry leaders from around the world. Participants explored key issues in computing power innovation through keynote speeches, achievement releases, the signing of cooperation agreements, and in-depth dialogues.
Purple Mountain Laboratories Chief Scientist Liu Yunjie, Hefei University of Technology Professor Wu Xindong, and Xiao Yongjun from the Guizhou Big Data Development Administration delivered keynote speeches.
Two major outcomes were released: the joint initiative on strengthening collaborative development of the "channelling computing resources from the east to the west" hubs, co-launched by the State Information Center and Gui'an New Area with the participation of over 40 institutions; and the regional computing power network: high-speed interconnection report, led by the State Information Center and Huawei with contributions from more than 30 organizations.
In the signing session, Gui'an New Area reached agreements with enterprises in AI innovation, computing power operations, and data security. Guiyang's Nanming district partnered with institutions to launch a digital industry chain fund, while Huawei Cloud signed service procurement deals with Mafengwo Travel, Huachuang Yunxin Digital Technology, and others to advance the "channelling computing resources from the east to the west" strategy.
Panel discussions focused on two themes: building new momentum and digital ecosystems across national computing hubs and regions, and fostering new quality productive forces with industry leaders to shape the future of computing power.
