Eco Forum Global Guiyang 2025 to be held on July 5–6

The Eco Forum Global Guiyang 2025 will be held from July 5 to 6 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, under the theme "Harmony Between Humanity and Nature: Advancing Global Green Transition". It will invite Chinese State leaders, foreign political dignitaries, and heads of international organizations.

This year's event aims to deepen international cooperation in addressing climate change and protecting biodiversity, aligning with the goals of major international conferences such as the 16th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Convention on Biological Diversity and COP29. It seeks to achieve five key objectives to support global sustainable development and ecological governance.

The forum will showcase China's achievements in ecological civilization and share its experience in building a "Beautiful China". It will promote green, low-carbon development and contribute to global climate governance by offering Chinese solutions.

It will also serve as a platform for global dialogue on tackling the three major environmental challenges – climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. The event aims to foster new green industries and models, promoting sustainable development and cleaner, more beautiful living environments worldwide.

Participants from government, business, and academia will be invited to discuss biodiversity protection, climate response, and collaborative environmental governance. The forum will support the creation of a fair and cooperative global environmental governance system.

In addition, the forum will support the implementation of China's three major global initiatives and promote knowledge-sharing and cooperation with the Global South, providing fresh opportunities and momentum for sustainable development.

Guiyang will also use the event to attract global talent and investment. Through new product and technology showcases in green, low-carbon, and energy-saving sectors, the forum will strengthen industrial partnerships and advance high-quality development powered by innovative productivity.
