Since the Guian New Area High-Quality Development Conference was convened in June, Guian New Area has been building an urban and rural development demonstration zone.
In the first half of the year, the per capita disposable income of rural permanent residents in the area increased by 8.2 percent, reducing the number of families with a per capita net income of less than 10,000 yuan ($1,378).
Guian has also encouraged Hengli Group, CATL and other enterprises to use local labor and promoted the employment of more than 2,000 returned migrant rural workers.
With the goal of improving the quality of people's lives, efforts have been made by Guian to promote the construction of 16 fifteen-minute living circles, establish and put into use 4,212 parking spaces and three agricultural markets, and renovate 4,203 shantytown households.
In addition, a comprehensive approach to rural housing, including clearing, constructing, managing, and utilizing rural housing, has been implemented, resulting in the construction of 100 rural houses, revitalization of 20 idle rural houses, initiation of integrated land and property rights registration for 1,532 cases, and establishment of 20 rural domestic wastewater treatment facilities.
Meanwhile, Guian has been improving its infrastructure and public services. The Guizhou Hospital of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University was selected as a National Regional Medical Center. Three new schools are under construction, aiming to give Guian's rural areas more access to Guiyang's high-quality educational resources.
Guian plans to develop the headquarters economy, building economy, night-time economy, and consumption economy, accelerate the construction of smart cities, Asian Development Bank smart transportation and other projects, as well as provide refined urban services to make people's lives more convenient comfortable.
