The launch ceremony for the 2023 National Energy Conservation Week in Guizhou province and its capital city of Guiyang was held in Guiyang on July 11.
The event was hosted by the Development and Reform Commission of Guizhou Province and the People's Government of Guiyang and organized by the development and reform commission of Guiyang and other related departments.
Through thematic exhibitions, promotional videos, and theme song releases, the event comprehensively showcased the achievements of Guizhou in creating energy-saving government offices, green homes, green schools, green communities, green transportation, green malls, green buildings, and other initiatives.
It also promoted a lifestyle of simplicity, greenness, low-carbon, civility, and health, aiming to enhance public awareness and capacity for energy conservation. At the same time, the launch ceremony awarded plaques to 10 green energy-saving demonstration units.
Last year, Guizhou fully integrated the requirements for achieving peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality into the economic and social development. It has focused on energy conservation and carbon reduction in industries, construction, transportation, and public institutions, continuously improving energy utilization efficiency in key sectors and industries.
This year's national energy conservation week will take place from July 10 to 16, with the title "Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction, Together We Act." Around this theme, Guizhou will intensify its publicity efforts and actively carry out a series of diverse educational activities.
