According to a statement on April 17 by the Guiyang Development and Reform Commission, as of March 31, Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province will start work on 55 new projects in April, with a planned total investment of 18.74 billion yuan ($2.72 billion).
Guiyang and Guian will work on a total of 683 provincial major and key projects this year, starting work on 185, continuing work on 242, completing 72, and making preparations to start work on 184.
"Next, we will conduct monthly scheduling on the handling of pre-construction procedures for new projects this year to help expand investment," said an employee at the commission.
