Guizhou officials visit Guiyang sci-tech institutes

Guizhou officials visited the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, and Guanshanhu district in Guiyang city – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – to investigate technological development, industrial transformation, and upgrading progress on March 16.

At the AVIC Guizhou Engine Design Institute in Guiyang, officials gained a detailed understanding of the enterprise's development status and key core technologies. The governor also hoped that the institute would actively promote the production-education-research integration model.

The Institute of Geochemistry Chinese Academy of Sciences is an important training base for high-level talents in the fields of resources and environmental sciences. While there, officials also inspected the construction progress of two of the institute's key State laboratories.

At present, the province is making great efforts to build a modern industrial system with Guizhou characteristics. It is also in the process of creating an important position for itself in the national industrial layout.

Scientific and technological workers in Guiyang are encouraged to vigorously promote scientific and technological innovation, as well as speed up the transformation of Guizhou's resources and ecology into economic advantages.
