Since the beginning of 2022, Southwest China's Guizhou province has allocated 91.97 million yuan ($13.21 million) of its general public budget fund and 72.24 million yuan of welfare lottery public welfare fund to promote development of the elderly care industry, so as to meet local multi-level elderly care service needs.

Guizhou has continued to promote the construction of standardized elderly care institutions. It is building an elderly care service facility system for "district-level + street-level + community-level" in cities, and a facility system for "county-level + township-level + village-level" in rural areas.

In terms of elderly care businesses, the province improved the quality of 20 standardized nursing homes, and added 4,000 nursing care beds this year alone. To date, 15 nursing homes have been completed and the remaining five will be completed by the end of December.

In terms of the elderly care industry, since the beginning of this year, the province has hosted industrial chain investment promotion activities and has gone outside the province to attract investment. Up to now, 1.08 billion yuan has been invested in the elderly care industry in the province.

Additionally, the province has issued a series of policies to improve its elderly care service system.
