Responsibilities: 

The department of national economy coordinates macroeconomic policies and improves macroeconomic regulation and coordination mechanisms with relevant departments. The department compiles Guiyang's annual plan for national economic and social development; works out the quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports on the implementation of Guiyang national economic and social development plans; monitors economic operations and conducts macroeconomic forecasting and early warning; and coordinates and addresses major economic operations issues and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions. It is also responsible for drafting comprehensive and important manuscripts, working on press release and information guidance, studying the relationship between national economic mobilization and national economy and national defense construction, and coordinating related major issues. The department undertakes the work of the Guiyang municipal national economy mobilization office.
