Consistently focusing on rural vitalization and people's welfare, Jiuzhuang town in Xifeng county, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has deepened supply-side reform in agriculture and laid out six special agricultural sectors – grain, fruit, vegetables, traditional Chinese medicine, pork and chicken raising, in order to ensure that farmers have more stable incomes and that rural modernization can be achieved.

Located in northwestern Xifeng, Jiuzhuang town is home to a thriving agricultural industry. Over the past 10 years, the town has given full play to its special conditions, increased investments, and addressed weak links in infrastructure and industrial development.

In 2021, the town's grain growing acreage reached 2,000 hectares, and its snake gourd growing acreage topped 266.67 hectares. This year, the town has finished extending its infrastructure. In addition, the town produced about 3.6 million chickens and 503.5 metric tons of eggs.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), Jiuzhuang town will continue to promote the "leading enterprises + cooperatives + farmers" model, lead the integrated development of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries, and form an agricultural product fine processing sector that combines production, processing, sales, and R&D of agricultural products.
