Digital economy in Guiyang, Guian reported by central media

The semi-annual development results of Guiyang and Guian New Area's digital economy were recently announced. The data shows that from January to June, the two region's software business revenue was reported to be 31.85 billion yuan ($4.72 billion), a year-on-year increase of 111.7 percent, 128 digital economy projects were introduced, and a total of 18,721 5G base stations were built.

"The digital economy has strong development momentum, the scale of digital industrialization has expanded, and new digital infrastructure has accelerated." The development of the digital economy in Guiyang and Guian attracted a number of central media reports.

An article was published on the front page of People's Daily on June 20 describing the establishment of the first national-level comprehensive pilot area for big data in Guiyang and the continuous holding of the China International Big Data Industry Expo, which brings together the world's cutting-edge big data technologies, products, and application models and has led to a rise of leading industries.

On July 1, Science and Technology Daily reported that from digital industrialization and rural e-commerce to rural governance, big data is helping Guiyang and Guian's rural vitalization and increasing resident satisfaction.

The article by Xinhua Daily Telegraph stated on July 27 that Guian regards the big data industry as a development path and that it has become one of the main battlefields for the development of the digital economy in Guizhou province.
