Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province have planned a number of reform projects, created a number of reform pilot projects, and achieved a number of reforms since last year – injecting strong momentum into the "strong provincial capital" action.
Six municipal meetings were held throughout the year, and 12 major reform issues were reviewed and approved.
Guiyang and Guian optimized and adjusted the original eight special groups and 45 thematic groups into nine special groups and 48 thematic groups, further improving the reformed linkage and cooperation mechanism.
In addition, the reform of the data management platform was deepened, and 101 annual reform points and 24 major reform projects were successfully completed.

In 2021, the GDP of Guiyang and Guian was 471.1 billion yuan ($69.27 billion), a year-on-year increase of 6.6 percent.
Over the past year, Guiyang and Guian have been focusing on key areas and key links, and have successfully built a number of reform and innovation brands with distinctive features and strengths.
In particular, Huimin Fresh Supermarket's cost-saving and low-profit operation model and the new path of community integration governance of three networks were fully affirmed by Central government during inspection of Guiyang.
