A team from the Guiyang development and reform commission recently went to the Guiyang Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone – located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – to conduct field research into public service platforms for high technology groups based there.
The purpose was to learn about how to build an innovation chain around an industry cluster supply chain, in order to promote the development and growth of that cluster.
The Guiyang High-tech Entrepreneurship Service Center is the first technology business incubator in Guizhou province. In addition to carrying out business incubation services, it also advises enterprises in the region that operate 30 various types of entrepreneurship and innovation carriers and has successfully guided 38 innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration cases.
In the zone, Zhubajie Guiyang Maker Workshop focuses on the connection of product supplies and demand, finance and tax, finance and technology services – having created eight public service platforms that provide a full range of services for resident businesses.
Zhifuyun Maker Space, meanwhile, provides enterprises with intellectual property declarations, operations and other services, as well as building school-enterprise communications and cooperation channels.
Elsewhere, Hankaisi Maker Space focuses on the field of unmanned driving and employs high-tech multinational teams. At present, it is negotiating with the local government on the proposed construction of an autonomous vehicle industrial park and an autonomous vehicle testing platform.
Moving forwards, the bureau is set to explore more operation modes for innovative public service platforms to support leading enterprises and institutions that share platform resources, and to provide better services for the development of industry as a whole.
