Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, rebranded itself as "Cool Guiyang" on Jan 16.
On the same day, four bullet trains named after "Cool Guiyang" were launched. In the next three months, the trains will travel from Guiyang to Nanjing, Hangzhou, Chengdu, and Shanghai to give publicity to the brand.
"Cool Guiyang" refers to the city's suitable weather, abundant culture, beautiful natural sceneries, delicious food, consumption economy, and thoughtful tourism services.
The brand was initiated in 2007 and was enhanced in 2014. This year, the brand will be further updated and related activities will be launched, such as a playlet support project, a photography competition, livestreams, a trade expo, an online shopping festival, and a tourism promotion event.
The brand is expected to increase Guiyang's popularity, attract people's interest in the city, and boost the city's social and economic development.
