The 2021 work report on Guiyang's service industry focuses on the implementation results of innovation and development projects in 10 sectors.
Tourism
Guiyang completed 15 projects related to the construction of Long March National Cultural Parks in 2021.
Wanxiang Hot Springs in the city's Wudang district was rated as a national 4A-level scenic spot, while six scenic spots in the city were rated as national 3A-level. Qingyan Ancient Town was selected as part of the first group of national-level nighttime culture and tourism consumption clusters.
The city planned and released 10 recommended tourism routes for summer, autumn and winter travel, and held a series of tourism events including the 12th Guiyang Tourism Industry Development Conference.
An intelligent management platform for tourist attractions in Guiyang was built, with ticketing data of 12 scenic spots accessible to the public and 30 A-level scenic spots installing monitoring equipment.
Big data
As of November, the city had signed 87 projects related to information transmission, software and information technology service industries, with a total investment of 7.21 billion yuan ($1.13 billion).
Seven super-large data centers were built and the construction on three data centers will soon begin.
As of Dec 15, Guiyang built had 4,592 5G base stations, achieved large-scale 5G network deployment in central urban areas and key areas, and realized full 4G network coverage in villages with more than 30 households.
As of December, the total amount of telecommunications-related business transactions in Guiyang increased 23.7 percent year-on-year to 8.24 billion yuan, ranking first among cities and autonomous prefectures in Southwest China's Guizhou province.
A total of 1,113 enterprises in Guiyang realized digital, networked and intelligent transformation, integrating big data into their development.
Health
There were 13 pharmaceutical manufacturing projects in Guiyang with an investment of over 100 million yuan each. An investment of 1.21 billion yuan was earmarked for these projects, accounting for 32.9 percent of the total planned investment.
As of November, the city's total production area for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) reached 263 square kilometers, with an output of 124,000 metric tons and an output value of 952 million yuan.
A total of 75 organic food products were certified in Guiyang, 45 of which are currently valid. Guiyang recognized 111 green food products produced by 52 companies.
The Guiyang Health and Medical Big Data Governance System completed data management services for 27 second-grade and above hospitals in the city as well as cloud-based healthcare information systems in eight districts and counties. Three hospitals in the city were recognized as provincial-level demonstration hospitals for TCM.
Modern finance
Guiyang and nearby Guian New Area carried out 538 projects in the fields of green energy, clean transportation, green building, ecological environmental protection and resource recycling, with a total investment of 411.05 billion yuan. The city has facilitated the signing of 11 green projects with investment of 14.9 billion yuan with financial institutions.
Local banks issued 15.27 billion yuan in credit loans to 28,492 enterprises and business owners.
The number of A-share listed companies in Guiyang and nearby Guian New Area increased to 22, accounting for 67 percent of the province's total listed companies.
In addition, the Guizhou Branch of Beibu Gulf Insurance and the Guiyang Branch of China Bohai Bank opened in the city.
Modern logistics
Guiyang promoted the construction of logistics projects in order to build an organization service and distribution center for the province's supply chain.
The city had 49 A-level logistics enterprises, accounting for 75.38 percent of the province's total. Five local logistics enterprises were identified as provincial-level service industrial leaders.
The city invested 4.68 billion yuan into the modern logistics industry, exceeding the annual target of 2.9 billion yuan.
