The Yunyan district development and reform commission in Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – moved into top gear to expand its new energy vehicle infrastructure, installing 102 charging piles in 2021 and reaching its annual target.
The charging of new energy vehicles is understood to be of concern to many car owners. The authorities focuses on the problem and are said to be aiming to create a smart, convenient and safe charging network.
After field research was conducted, the Yunyan district added eight charging projects in its jurisdiction.
According to an official at the Yunyan district development and reform commission, the eight projects cost over 6 million yuan ($941,144) and involved installation of 102 charging piles, 37 of which are for public use and 65 are private stations.
