Guiyang Development and Reform Commission in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held a meeting on Dec 16 to prepare for Guiyang's development into a national logistics hub in 2022.
The national logistics hubs form core parts of China's national logistics infrastructure. According to a national logistics hub layout and construction plan issued in 2018, China will construct 150 national logistics hubs by 2025.
Guiyang, as one of the selected hubs, will focus on land ports, airports, production and commercial services during the construction.
The meeting requires Guiyang's districts, counties and development zones to attach great importance to the construction of a national logistics hub.
The hub will help Guiyang and Guian New Area participate in the "dual circulation" development pattern, where the domestic economic cycle plays a leading role while the international economic cycle serves as an extension and supplement.
All departments should enhance the construction of transportation infrastructure, cultivate modern logistics firms, and learn from successful examples in other cities.
