Xifeng sets new goals, targets for next 5 years

A county-level meeting was held on Sept 4 in Xifeng county, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, in which new industrial and economic deployments over the county were made.

In the next five years, Xifeng will prioritize the development of its real economy, rely on its strong and unique industries, and work to make breakthroughs by forming a multi-lateral industrial layout.

The county will further promote the modernization of industrial chains, lead its manufacturing sector towards a more high-end, intensified, and sustainable direction, and work to achieve 30 billion yuan ($4.5 billion) in total industrial output value.

The modern chemical industry and new construction materials will be Xifeng's two pillar industries and the phosphorous program will be given the special attention of the government.

Meanwhile, the county will build its five billion-yuan industrial clusters in new medicine, special food, equipment manufacturing, energy conservation, and daily necessities.

Officials are urged to work harder to improve the local business environment by carrying out policies favorable to enterprises, helping firms reduce the costs of land, human resources, logistics, capital, and electricity, and solving their financing problems.

The county intends to cultivate more industrial giants and little giant enterprises in order to achieve the high-quality development of Guizhou.
