News from Guiyang news network on Aug 18 indicated that Qingzhen, a county-level city in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has released 10 specific measures to activate and motivate all kinds of innovation entities, by cultivating high-tech corporations, expanding investment in research, promoting technology transfers, and awarding and subsidizing innovative entities.
A 100,000-yuan ($15,000) subsidy will be granted to newly recognized high-tech enterprises, newly introduced high-tech enterprises, or re-recognized high-tech enterprises in Qingzhen.
Companies are encouraged to increase investment in research, and the subsidy granted to each firm will not exceed 2.5 million yuan per year.
The government also encourages firms to focus on eliminating bottlenecks, especially in aluminum-base materials, comprehensive utilization of red mud, big data, block chains, and mid- and high-end equipment manufacturing. Companies that have undertaken national, provincial, and municipal key technology programs will be granted supporting subsidies equal to 25 percent of the project fund.
Newly recognized national and provincial engineering technology research centers and key laboratories in Qingzhen will be given 500,000 yuan and 200,000 yuan, respectively.
Newly recognized technology company incubators and technology transfer demonstration institutions will also be subsidized to varying degrees.
The county will also strengthen intellectual property rights protection and revamp the supervision and regulation of fake products in order to purify the market.
Enterprises that have hired doctors and senior professionals will also receive 30,000 yuan per talent.
In addition, the government offers financial assistance and subsidies to agricultural parks and enterprises involved in IT services and internet businesses.
