During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will promote the development of new-type industrialization focusing on its main industries.
By 2025, the district's total industrial output value is projected to exceed 50 billion yuan ($7.74 billion), and the added value of industries above designated size is expected to exceed 10 billion yuan.
The district will focus on the development of the traditional Chinese medicine and medical device manufacturing industries, and work to bring in more top domestic and foreign medical device companies to build a health and pharmaceutical industrial cluster dominated by traditional Chinese medicine and medical equipment.
It will also accelerate the concentration of industries such as electronic information manufacturing, electronic basic materials, and basic components of aerospace equipment.
By 2025, the industrial output value of the district's advanced equipment manufacturing industrial cluster will exceed 10 billion yuan, while the output value of its specialty food industry will top 5 billion yuan, and the big data industrial cluster will achieve an output value of more than 50 billion yuan.
Wudang will also build a batch of high-level innovation and entrepreneurship incubation platforms for small and medium-sized enterprises.
In addition, in order to accelerate industrial digitization and digital industrialization, it will speed up the construction of digital infrastructures such as 5G networks, industrial internet, data centers, and internet of things.
