According to the Standardization Administration of China, four service industry standardization projects submitted by Guizhou's provincial capital Guiyang recently made the 2021 national pilot project list.

The four projects involve senior care services, housekeeping services and cleaning services.

Since 2020, Guiyang has strived to build a standard system for the service industry by setting regional standards.

Guiyang's pilot project for senior care services will refine the standards for senior citizens' daily care, health security and mental comfort – covering the whole process of senior care. The project will also set two to four senior care service standards that fit Guizhou's social situation.

The pilot project for housekeeping services will include pre-job training, on-the-job training, further education on professional skills and skill competitions. The project will integrate these elements into the daily management of employees.

Cultivation of professional ethics and law education will be included in housekeeping training sessions, and practical skills training involving psychology, medicine, nutrition and communication will be provided to improve the quality of housekeeping services.

The pilot projects for cleaning services will customize targeted service standards according to different scenarios, such as office buildings, household management and household cleaning.

In the future, the pilot projects are expected to improve Guiyang's standardized management of the service industry and boost the high-quality of public service development.
