Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- reportedly plans to promote the further development of the auto industry in terms of its supply chain, new projects, expansion of leading enterprises and investment.
With a focus on finished vehicles and core components, the city plans to support the development and growth of existing vehicle manufacturers and build platforms for suppliers in the auto industry ecosystem to better communicate and cooperate with each other.
It is understood that the city will help companies in the sector to solve any problems with financing and formalities for projects under construction, to ensure they are completed on schedule and start production as soon as possible.
In addition, the city plans to support the development of finished auto companies -- to drive the expansion of the auto industry supply chain -- such as Guizhou Geely Automobile Manufacturing Co and Guizhou Chery Wanda Vehicle Co.
It is believed that by supporting locally produced vehicles in the province, the capacity of finished vehicle manufacturers in the city will be increased.
In addition, Guiyang will accelerate its promotions and marketing to attract additional project investment.
After years of development, Guiyang now has four auto manufacturers -- as well as three automobile manufacturing projects currently under construction -- with current annual production capacity of 1.18 million vehicles.
The city has formed an automobile industry ecosystem centered on Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Guanshanhu district, Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone and Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone.
