The State Council recently approved Guiyang's intelligent traffic demonstration project for integrating urban and rural areas to receive a $350 million loan from the New Development Bank.
The loan will be used to construct first- and second-class roads, intelligent transportation, big data centers and dynamic information sensing systems. It will also be used to develop unmanned driving and cooperative vehicle infrastructure systems.
The project is a key traffic project planned by the city and the province and a significant part of Guiyang's strategic tourism plan. It will cover Guiyang's 10 administrative areas and play a vital role in the development of Guizhou's tourism industry.
