Guizhou Aviation Technical Development Co's technology center in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was recently approved by the National Development and Reform Commission as a national center for enterprise technology.
Currently, Guiyang has 15 national centers for enterprise technology, laying a solid foundation for emerging industries' research and development.
The center focuses on researching advanced manufacturing technologies for the precision forming of special metal materials for aviation equipment. These technologies can meet the demands for high-end ring forgings made of hard-to-deform materials for aero-engines and heavy gas turbines.
The facility continues expanding its industrial scale and technology advantages in high-end equipment manufacturing, covering sectors such as aviation, aerospace, navigation, nuclear power and high-speed railway transportation.
Since its establishment, the center has been involved in the research and application of various engines and new materials and has developed several key technologies.
Guiyang's development and reform commission will keep supporting the center's research and development, and offer preferential policies according to national laws and regulations.
