From January to October in the current year, revenue in the service industry above a designated size in Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) is projected to soar.
The service industry in the zone -- located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- posted preliminary figures which showed revenue in the 10 months leaped 65.7 percent, compared with the same period last year.
According to statistical data, revenue of the service industry above a designated size in GETDZ has developed steadily, growing 52.9 percent from January to July, 73.2 percent from January to August, 89.5 percent from January to September and 65.7 percent from January to October.
Of the 11,712 enterprises currently resident in the zone, 9,426 are service enterprises.
In promoting the accelerated development of the service industry, the zone takes the development of emerging industries as the key support.
According to the data, the business income of the service industry in the zone above a designated size -- relating to information transmission, software and information technology -- is projected to reach 478 million yuan ($72.46 million) in the period.
The performance reflects a year-on-year growth of 147.3 percent, boosting momentum for the development of the zone's service industry.
