A commencement ceremony for modern logistics projects was held on Nov 9 in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The ceremony marked the launch of 126 projects with a total investment of 39.79 billion yuan ($6.04 billion), involving delivery, multimodal transport, cold chain and informationization.
Among these, 18 projects will be developed in Guiyang and Guian New Area, with a total investment of 12.57 billion yuan.
Once constructed, the projects will improve the service level of Guizhou's logistics industry, optimize the logistics resource layout, encourage the coordinated development of the regional logistics industry, improve the investment and consumption environment and boost the continuous development of the economy.
The launch of the projects reflects Guizhou's efforts to establish a modern logistics distribution system, integrating into both the domestic and international economic circle. It also promotes Guizhou's featured products and accelerates the optimization and upgrading of the industrial chain and supply chain.
