Huaxi district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has made steady progress in adjusting its agricultural structure while also focusing on maximizing the sector's ecological, economic, social and tourism value.

Since 2018, the district has improved the industrial structure of about 92,000 mu (6,133.33 hectares) of agricultural land, and vigorously developed the agricultural industry through internal training and external investments.

At present, 11 State-owned companies in Huaxi district and Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone have developed 3,000 mu of concentrated demonstration bases spread across nine towns and sub-districts in the district.

It's expected that a considerable portion of the agricultural parks in Huaxi district will begin operations by next year. These parts will cover an array of agricultural sectors, including tea, vegetables, fruits, fungi, flowers and medicine – all of which can greatly enrich the local agricultural product market and increase farmers' incomes.
