GETDZ starts construction of 24 key projects in first half

In the first half of the year, a total of 24 key provincial and municipal level projects began construction in the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) -- in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- according to GETDZ officials.

They told a news conference on July 29 that since the start of the year the zone has focused on the goal of building itself as a development zone with annual industrial output of 100 billion yuan ($14.31 billion).

It has also focused on building a modern industrial new city in southern Guiyang.

Officials said the GETDZ has focused on the development and construction on industrial projects. It has also coordinated the promotion of economic developments while maintaining strict novel coronavirus prevention and control.

The said the zone has accelerated the construction of key industrial projects and key urban construction projects, while major economic indicators have continued to be stable and positive.
