Guizhou invests 136.1b yuan in Q1's major projects

During the first quarter of 2020, Southwest China's Guizhou province completed 136.1 billion yuan ($19.07 billion) of investment in major projects, totaling 18.8 percent of its annual plan.

Guizhou started 568 major projects, which is 136 more than scheduled, and completed 31 major projects. The three cities and prefectures which finished the most planned investments are Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, Biji city, and Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture.

Finished projects added up to 23.56 billion yuan of investment, ongoing projects total 84.37 billion yuan, newly-started projects total 26.91 billion yuan, and projects currently being prepared total 1.31 billion yuan.

Among all the projects, key infrastructure projects saw 32.17 billion yuan of investment, occupying 15.5 percent of the annual plan. Key industry development projects saw 88.19 billion yuan of investment, occupying 20.8 percent of the annual plan. Meanwhile, projects for improving people's well-being saw 15.78 billion yuan of investment, occupying 16.6 percent of the annual plan.
