The one office and two centers project and the inspection and quarantine test area at the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone in Guiyang, capital of China's Southwest Guizhou province recently resumed construction on Feb 27 and Feb 23 respectively, according to local officials.
The project comprises an international mail exchange office, international express center and a bonded logistics center, with a planned area of 40 hectares. It broke ground in December, 2019.
Based on the completion of 80 percent of the field level work in the previous period, the project stepped up the completion of field leveling and geological surveys, while optimizing and refining the development plan, to ensure it will be go into use at the same time as Terminal 3 of Longdongbao International Airport.
Construction of the inspection and quarantine test area started in January 2018 and the main structure of the integrated office building and data center was successfully capped in April 2019.
At present, construction is ongoing of the external office building and decoration of the data center and installation of water and electricity equipment, to ensure that it can be put in use by the end of 2020.
Officials said that as an important platform for Guizhou province to open to the outside and an important driver of the aviation economy, Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone is striving to build itself as a leading national economic zone.
