Divided into the production area and office living area, it covers an area of over 151 hectares. The planned annual production capacity will be 300,000 vehicles.

The project broke ground on Feb 18, 2019 and has now entered the steel structure construction stage. Plans are for it to be completed and put into production in December 2020.

In order to ensure the orderly resumption of construction, the management committee of Shuanglong Economic Zone staggered the return to operations of various departments to resolve logistics problems.

Officials said that they expected that the project will achieve the goal of the first vehicle coming off the assembly line by the end of this year.
