The city of Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – has received handsome recognition for the innovations it has made to its online government services.
In a recent evaluation of development in online government services in Guizhou, Guiyang Development and Reform Commission's online services platform ranked fourth in the province.
Since the establishment of its platform, the Guiyang commission has achieved significant progress in terms of system integration, data fusion analysis and system security.
Last year, the commission's platform had over 150 registered users, posted 4,025 pieces of official document information, held 2,359 meetings and sent over 250,000 reminder text messages.
By introducing the platform, the commission saved some 200,000 yuan ($29,751) in system maintenance costs.
It also achieved interconnection of data from multiple government affair services, which optimized working processes and improved the general quality and efficiency of the government services.
